On the beautiful Cape Verde Island of Boa Vista, you can work on an important Turtle conservation and wildlife programme. Based on the east of the Island, you will work with Natura 2000 to tag and monitor turtles and gain valuable work experience. This is available between May and November due to the season. Ideal for travel and tourism, animal management, wildlife and conservation students.
Activities include :
- tagging and monitoring of turtles
-rescue of disorientated turtles
-breeding programmes
beach clean ups
-surveillance of nesting beaches
- control and monitoring of beach programmes, turtle tagging and nesting
eco tourism strategies

Cape Verde Turtle Project - a 2 or 3 week placement in the beautiful Island of Boa Vista, Cape Verde. Turtle tracking and census, breeding programmes, turtle rescue, and protection of nests. Eco tourism, marine biology, wildlife, conservation, animal management and community development opportunities.
